Janelle Gibson
Founder – Jewelry Designer

Janelle Gibson is a jewelry designer living in the San Francisco Bay Area. Her past work includes teaching children with special needs and art instruction. She has a bachelors degree in Art Studio and a Masters degree in Special Education.

In 2004, she read an article about a seven year old girl who was sold into prostitution and kept prisoner in a brothel for many years. At the time, she was working as a successful jewelry designer. The article galvanized her to create a line of sterling silver jewelry to raise money to combat the sex trafficking of girls. In 2005, she founded Soulgems, which now provides funding to organizations in Cambodia, Thailand, Nepal and Zimbabwe.

Gregory Smith
Operations

Greg is currently Co-Founder and Chief Financial Officer of Cloud Engines, Inc., a venture-backed technology company that provides remote access and connected storage solutions to consumers and small businesses. Greg has served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Mediabolic, Whitelight Systems, Inc., Petopia.com and Escalade Corporation. He holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College and a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Vermont. Greg believes Soulgems has an enormous opportunity to help women and girls who are extremely vulnerable. This is really important work that can save lives and he feels the need to be a part of it.

Jane Watt

Jane founded Watt Foug Design, a boutique design firm that works with many of the Bay Area’s top companies, including venture capital firms, non-profit organizations, educational institutions, and technology companies to create fresh, original, and professional designs. Before founding Watt Foug Design, Jane worked over the past 25 years for design studios such as RKD, Jacobs Fulton Design Group, and 1185 Design, overseeing and managing all aspects of the design process. Jane has worked closely with companies such as Cisco Systems, IBM Storage Systems Group, Interplast, Stanford Graduate School of Business, Stanford Law School, and TCI, a K-12 social studies curriculum publishing company.
