It is a shocking fact that there are more people in slavery today than any other time in history.

Globally, human trafficking is the fastest growing criminal industry after drug trafficking. An estimated twenty-seven million people have been forced into labor and between 600,000- 800,000 people are trafficked across international borders every year. And more shocking still, it’s happening right here in the US: even children who are American citizens are being are being abducted and coerced into doing brutal work in inhumane conditions. There is hope for these women and girls in the many international organizations working to stop this abhorrent industry. They are saving lives, restoring freedom and forcing governments to take action.
